Invisalign has treated over 9 million patients worldwide!
Your journey to a perfect smile begins with a thorough consultation at Amaya Dental. During this stage, our experienced dentists - Dr. Amaya, Dr. Jaramillo, Dr. Papir, Dr. Quinones, or Dr. Sweeting - will conduct a comprehensive examination of your teeth and bite. They will discuss your dental goals and create a personalized treatment plan using Invisalign’s advanced software. This software allows us to show you a virtual representation of how your teeth will move during the treatment and what your smile will look like at the end.
Once your treatment plan is finalized, we will send the specifications to Invisalign. Using their state-of-the-art technology, they will create a series of custom aligners designed to gradually shift your teeth into their desired position. Each aligner is made from a smooth, BPA-free plastic that won't irritate your gums or cheeks like traditional braces can.
You will wear each set of aligners for about two weeks, removing them only to eat, drink, brush, and floss. As you replace each aligner with the next in the series, your teeth will move little by little, week by week, until they have straightened to their final positions. You'll visit us about once every six weeks to ensure that your treatment is progressing as planned.
Invisalign aligners are made from a smooth, comfortable plastic material. Unlike traditional braces, there are no sharp brackets or wires that can cause discomfort or injury. This makes the process of straightening your teeth less painful and more enjoyable.
Underbites occur when your lower front teeth sit in front of your upper arch of teeth. Often, underbites happen when the lower jaw is simply too far forward. An underbite can make it difficult to chew or speak properly, and can cause premature wear to your teeth. In some cases, underbites can be alleviated with Invisalign alone, but more severe cases may require oral surgery before beginning orthodontic treatment
In an ideal bite, the upper front teeth sit slightly in front of the lower front teeth. A crossbite is present when some of the upper teeth sit behind the lower teeth. This causes wear and tear, like chips or cracks. The pressure of your bite can lead to gum recession in some cases, resulting in sensitive teeth and even bone loss. Invisalign can fix certain cases of crossbites, so come in for a consultation to find out which orthodontic option is best for you.
Invisalign aligners are made from medical-grade, BPA-free thermoplastic material.
